Corporate Social Responsibility

We pride ourselves in our ability to participate in initiatives that are aimed at providing assistance to Botswana and her people. The firm actively supports charitable, civic and community projects with legal and general services.

Some of our most recent donations were made to these worthy initiatives and projects:

  • – The Lady Khama Charity Trust;
  • – The Journey of Hope Botswana (Cancer Awareness Programme).

Our Attorneys are also, individually and on behalf of Armstrongs, involved in a wide range of community projects and motivational lectures, an example being the Molaya Kgosi Leadership and Mentorship Program.

As briefly mentioned above Armstrongs is a long standing sponsor of the breast cancer awareness organisation, Journey of Hope Botswana. This organisation has shown its value to literally thousands of women and men around the country.

Armstrongs’ Family Law attorney, Rita Keevil, devotes approximately 80 hours a year to the Trial Advocacy Programme which is aimed at developing the trial and courtroom skills of young attorneys in Botswana. She has assisted in the training of hundreds of lawyers for no financial gain.

Pro Bono

Work done pro bono publico is work done without payment or expectation of payment. It is a way in which legal professionals can give back to their community and, particularly, to persons of limited means who otherwise would not be able to achieve justice.

Armstrongs contributes significantly in pro bono work and especially through its Family Law Department which undertakes a large amount of pro bono work particularly where the rights of children are concerned.

The effective participation in pro bono work depends on the input of all professionals in the firm and it is gladly given by our various experts in their fields.
